Central Christian Church

Inspired by and paying tribute to the Church of Light by Tadao Ando, Central Christian Church is designed as a simple and contemplative place of worship relying on the interplay of light and shadow to evoke a spiritual atmosphere. Monolithic concrete surfaces define the space, punctuated by slender cross-shaped slits cut into walls and ceilings that allow natural sunlight to stream into the interior. The resulting contrasts of brightness and darkness create a contemplative environment, where light itself becomes the primary medium of spiritual expression.
